We’re investing nearly $30 million in road improvements in Campbell Heights to better serve the growing needs of businesses, industries and the city.

Campbell Heights plays a crucial role in Surrey’s economic development by fostering businesses and industries. The Campbell Heights Business Park is one of Surrey's largest industrial and commercial hubs creating over 7000 jobs for the region.

Road improvements are needed to service the continued growth in Campbell Heights as it attracts new businesses and creates more jobs. Road improvements will reduce traffic congestion in the area, improve access to businesses, support growth and increase road safety for pedestrians and cyclists.

Project timeline

Phase 1: 192 Street (16 Avenue to 28 Avenue)

Construction is anticipated to begin summer 2025, with advanced tree clearing taking place along 192 Street between 16 Avenue and 20 Avenue in February.

Future phases: 32 Avenue, 28 Avenue, 24 Avenue, and 16 Avenue

Construction will be done in future phases from 2026-2027.

Project impacts

To reduce traffic disruptions, road construction will be carried out in phases rather than all at once.

The widening of 192 Street between 16 Avenue and 20 Avenue will require removal of some trees within the existing road corridor. To minimize the tree impacts, have created a custom road design that keeps the road corridor as narrow as possible. Vehicle travel lanes will remain the same width as the standard for a City of Surrey arterial road.
