Environment and Climate Change Committee
This Committee provides advice to Council on environmental sustainability issues and trends while promoting environmental awareness, education, and best practices throughout the City of Surrey. Specifically, the ECCC will provide a local perspective and advice to Council with respect to achieving the City’s strategic goals, accompanying strategic directions and Sustainability Charter.

Committee Vice-Chair: Councillor Bose
This committee assists Surrey’s Council by offering advice on environmental matters referred to it and promoting public awareness about sustainability. It serves as a key platform for citizens to bring attention to environmental issues affecting both the natural and built environment.
The committee also collaborates with other civic groups to foster communication and prevent duplication of efforts. Its members, composed of council representatives and local volunteers with expertise in environmental issues, work to align their efforts with Surrey’s broader sustainability goals.
