Parks, Recreation and Sport Tourism Committee

This Committee provides advice to Council on strategies and activities related to parks, recreation, diversity, inclusion, sport tourism and seniors' services in Surrey.

Committee Vice-Chair: Councillor Kooner

This committee reviews the implementation of Surrey's strategic plans and suggests ways to enhance public engagement with parks and recreation services. It also provides input on annual fees for services and supports partnerships with local seniors' organizations.

In addition, the committee helps identify opportunities for sport tourism events and works to secure funding for the city's programs. Its members include council representatives, volunteers from the community, and a Surrey Schools Trustee, all working together to advance Surrey’s parks and recreation initiatives.
