Agricultural and Food Policy Committee
This Committee establishes liaison and maintains communication between the agricultural community and the City on agricultural issues.

This committee provides recommendations to Council on policies, procedures, and bylaws that impact Surrey’s agricultural community. It focuses on maintaining communication between the City and local farmers, reviewing development applications affecting agricultural land, and promoting agricultural best practices.
The committee also supports initiatives like agri-tourism and urban food projects, working to foster a sustainable and resilient food system in Surrey. Its members include farming representatives from various sectors, along with a representative from the food advocacy and processing industries.
