Description: This totem pole commemorating the Canada Centennial in 1967 stands on the grounds of the Municipal Centre. The totem pole was carved by John Edward ("Ted") Neel, a member of a noted family of carvers. This pole is one of four in the area, involving a community sponsorship drive by The Columbian Newspaper through the sale of 1,756 one-inch "shares" in the totem pole.
