Weekend and after-hour media requests

City Hall operating hours are weekdays from 8:30am to 4:30pm. For after-hour media requests, email media.requests@surrey.ca. Media requests of an urgent and operational nature will be responded to after hours. All other requests will be actioned the next business day.

The City of Surrey is calling for public participation on a new multi-purpose community centre in Newton.

Users can locate crosswalks, pedestrian push buttons, pedestrian signs and traffic signals to help plan their route while also being able to explore places of interest in the community.   

Pacific Economic Development Canada (PacifiCan) will be the new federal regional economic development agency for British Columbia.

Program encourages residents to plant trees on private property.

Surrey’s New Riverfront Park Partially Funded through Government of Canada’s Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund 

Funded projects will focus on contributing to the longer-term housing needs of priority populations in Surrey and building on continued efforts to mitigate the impact of COVID-19.    

The new rubberized walking track will be built in the south area of the park around the perimeter of the sports fields and will connect with existing paths in the park.

Many civic facilities in Surrey, including Surrey City Hall, community centres, arenas and Surrey Libraries locations, are available to people seeking relief from extreme heat and wildfire smoke during the summer months.
