At the Regular Council Meeting on Monday, Surrey City Council approved the use of City owned land for a purpose-built rental housing development that will add an estimated 350 new rental homes in Surrey.

During tonight’s Regular Council Meeting, Surrey City Council will vote on awarding $8.3 million in contracts to enhance outdoor sport facilities at three premier sites for local athletes.

At the next Regular Council Meeting (April 14), Surrey City Council will vote on expanding parking for commercial trucks that would create approximately 240 new parking spaces, in addition to the 150 dedicated spaces in operation.

City earns international recognition from the Arbor Day Foundation and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

Council have directed staff to file a notice on title to two properties at 6718 140A Street and 9040 Skye Place, where the owners have illegally constructed and occupied the buildings without permits and in violation of the City’s Building Bylaw.
