View a list of community organizations that focus on engaging all citizens in sport and can help you access more sports programs.

By connecting community members with resources, Sport Surrey hopes to make sports programs more accessible to everyone, and increase participation in sport.

Sport Surrey strives to enhance the quality of life for Surrey residents through sport and physical activity. One way we do this is by understanding the barriers to engaging all ages, abilities and genders in sport and physical activity.

Connecting organizations

By connecting organizations with members of the community we hope more citizens experience the benefits of sports. We believe:

  • Physical activity provides mobility, social and health benefit for seniors.
  • There is a collective need to break down barriers for kids to be active, not play video games.
  • There are new and innovative ways we can modify sport for a variety of needs (e.g., walking field hockey for seniors, wheelchair basketball, etc.)
  • Sport provides community and connection. It is more than exercise and competition.
  • Strong role models can encourage more youth to get involved in sports.
