At the park's east entrance, off 151 Street, you'll find a tennis court and playground, with lots of open greenspace. A pathway leads west from here connecting all the way to 148 Street and Green Timbers Urban Forest. There are a number of side pathways connecting to cul-de-sacs and roads in the neighbourhood.
Douglas Park was established in the early 1980s as a result of the subdivision of the surrounding neighbourhood. The park is long and narrow, measuring about half a kilometre from east to west.
