Surrey, BC - Some of Australia’s best circus artists balance strength, trust, and a touch of danger in this thrilling performance by Melbourne’s One Fell Swoop Circus. Seven acrobats forgo nets and safety harnesses while using 30 metres of rope to twirl, flip and dip in this inventive aerial dance. A visually stunning performance presented by Surrey Civic Theatres as part of the Surrey SPARK Stages series of family-friendly shows for kids. Tickets start at $16. Recommended for ages 7 and up.

September 2024 - Seven acrobats and 30 metres of rope. One Fell Swoop Circus concludes their Canadian tour with two performances of By A Thread at the Surrey Arts Centre before heading to the Melbourne Fringe Festival and the Hong Kong Performing Arts Expo. A fresh and contemporary aerial performance, By A Thread is an inventive work of human strength, grace and beauty.

Before the show, ticketholders can try diabolo juggling with CircusWest Performing Arts Society. After the show, the audience is invited to a Q&A with the performers.

Based in Melbourne, One Fell Swoop combine ambitious concepts with visceral physicality, bringing audiences the invigorating mix of joy and risk inherent to group acrobatics. The company creates work that combines a high level of circus skill with rich dramatic perspectives, specialising in traditional theatre shows and large-scale outdoor circus installation works. They connect a highly skilled ensemble with innovative apparatus, where classic techniques are used in expansive ways and new ideas are made possible.
