Surrey, B.C. – The City of Surrey is hosting two more online tree sales this year. The next sale opens on August 21 at 9:00 a.m. and will close on September 4, with a tree pickup date of September 15. The final sale of the year will begin on September 25 at 9:00 a.m. and will close on October 9, with a pickup date of October 20.

"Planting a tree is an investment in our community and our future,” said Mayor Brenda Locke. "I am excited to continue offering Surrey residents the chance to purchase affordable, high-quality trees for planting on their private property. The trees sell out quickly, so mark your calendar to avoid missing out. Every tree we plant today is a step forward to a greener and more vibrant Surrey of tomorrow.”

The City of Surrey hosts four online tree sales every year, with trees sold on a first-come, first-served basis. All trees are priced at $20 (includes taxes). Purchases are made online and can be picked up later from the Surrey Operations Centre (6651 148 Street). Each sale offers up to 1000 trees for purchase, available while supplies last. Varieties may include maples, dogwoods, magnolias, and assorted fruit trees, all suitable for growth in Surrey.
