Effective March 31, Surrey City Hall Will Be Extending its Hours of Operation Every Thursday
Surrey residents will soon have more time to come into City Hall.
Surrey – Surrey residents will soon have more time to come into City Hall. Starting Thursday, March 31 and continuing every Thursday from 4:30 to 8:00pm, residents will be able to come into City Hall and access key services outside regular business hours.
“As we adjust to the easing of restrictions and the resulting schedule changes for many people, Council has made it a priority to ensure our citizens and business owners have more options in accessing key services at City Hall,” said Mayor Doug McCallum. “The pilot program for extending hours at City Hall on Thursdays is another example of how Council is always looking to streamline services to ensure they create further access and convenience for our ratepayers.”
The services provided will include but are not limited to, basic enquiries, permit application support, building package pick-up, and payment services.
“As the pandemic transitions, we’re happy to provide residents with a bit more flexibility to access some of our services in person,” said Vincent Lalonde, City Manager. “The purpose of the pilot program is to accommodate more people and offer more convenient hours to those who need it outside of regular work hours.”
