Surrey, B.C. – The City of Surrey’s popular tree sale is back. The dates for the first two sales of the year have been set for March 5 and April 30. At $20 per tree, Surrey residents can beautify their property and help keep Surrey green. The first tree sale opens at 9 a.m. on March 5 for online orders, with a pick-up date of March 30 at the Surrey Operations Centre. The second tree sale will take place on April 30 with a pick-up date of May 25.

“The City of Surrey’s tree sale is one of our most popular events with trees selling out regularly and quickly,” said Mayor Brenda Locke. “Each sale date will have only 1,000 trees available for purchase.  If you are interested in picking up one, make sure to mark your calendar as the trees are sold on a first come first serve basis.”

The City hosts four online tree sales per year. Purchases are made online with trees available for pick up at a later date at the Surrey Operations Centre (6651 148 Street). There will be more opportunities to buy a tree with two additional tree sales slated for later this year.

Surrey’s tree sale program is an initiative to protect and grow the City’s urban forest on private property. Trees planted help protect our environment and improve livability in our community by helping to improve air and water quality and providing shade and insulation.
