Surrey, B.C. – Surrey residents will get to be first in line when they sign up for their favourite Parks, Recreation and Culture programs starting this winter. To better serve our clients, the City is prioritizing Surrey residents for our seasonal online registration. This initiative addresses the need to stabilize high traffic volumes on surrey.ca on registration days. It is a continuation of the improvements made last year, which included staggered registration dates, a virtual waiting room and simplified login.

“We are excited to prioritize our residents with early access to our Parks, Recreation and Culture programs this winter,” said Mayor Brenda Locke. “This initiative will make it easier for Surrey families to register for programs and reflects our commitment to making our community’s recreational opportunities more accessible and enjoyable. I encourage all Surrey residents to take advantage of this priority registration and plan for a wonderful winter season filled with activities.”

For the upcoming winter season, Surrey residents will be able to sign up on the following dates:

  • Registration for most programs open on Sunday, November 24 at 9 p.m.
  • Registration for aquatic programs opens on Sunday, December 8 at 9 p.m.

Non-residents can sign up for all programs starting Sunday, December 15 at 9 p.m.

Surrey residents and non-residents are encouraged to prepare for winter registration by learning how the virtual waiting room works. In addition, patrons are recommended to add a family member to their account in advance by calling 604-501-5100, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

To plan ahead and find activities running from January to April 2025, view the digital Recreation Guide online or pick up a print copy at a library or recreation facility. For more information about winter programs, how to register and registration tips, visit surrey.ca/register
