2025 Cultural Grants funding available for arts, culture and heritage activities in Surrey
City of Surrey’s 2025 Cultural Grants Program is now accepting applications.
Surrey, B.C. – City of Surrey’s 2025 Cultural Grants Program is now accepting applications. Non-profit organizations planning arts, culture and heritage events and activities in Surrey can apply for project-based cultural grants up to $10,000 and operating grants up to $25,000.
“We are committed to supporting community-based organizations that enrich Surrey’s arts, cultural, and heritage landscape,” said Mayor Brenda Locke. “These grants provide much-needed funds for non-profit organizations to initiate projects that matter most to them, fostering a vibrant cultural scene across our city.”
The City’s cultural grants provide funding for a wide variety of arts, culture and heritage programming. Non-profits can further showcase their creativity through one of three grant categories: cultural celebration, project and operating grants. Applications are open online until October 3 at surrey.ca/culturalgrants.
Interested applicants are encouraged to register for our information sessions throughout the summer to learn more about the program and gain tips for a smoother application process. Applicants can also book a 30-minute mentorship session with the cultural grants team to address specific questions about their application or eligibility.
Last year, Council awarded $581,205 to 78 arts, culture and heritage organizations. The Cultural Grants Program has been a valuable initiative since 2013, helping to add more vibrancy to Surrey, one of Canada’s most culturally diverse cities.
