Italian conductor and pianist Vanessa Benelli Mosell, praised as “powerful, emotional, romantic, and dramatic” (The Guardian), makes her VSO debut. She brings Philippe Schoeller’s Sereno Sole to its North American premiere and performs Bartók’s playful Divertimento for Strings. The program also features Schubert’s joyful Third Symphony, written when he was 18.
