Park information
Queen Elizabeth Meadows features more than 2.9 hectares (7.1 acres) of rolling meadow grassland. The park also offers a community garden and plenty of open green space for a pick-up game of soccer, or for a lazy afternoon of relaxing in the park. The walking path running diagonally through the park connects 134 Street to Queen Elizabeth Secondary School.
Queen Elizabeth Meadows has also been identified as a potential site for a future dog off-leash area within the dog off leash master plan.
About QE Meadows Community Garden
The idea for QE Meadows Community Garden was put forward by students from Queen Elizabeth Secondary School. In May 2017, the garden was built with help from students and local residents. The gardens are currently accepting new gardeners.
The garden is run by members and we are currently seeking interested gardeners who would like to take on some leadership responsibilities. If you have a few hours to spare throughout the growing season, we'd love to hear from you! Tasks could involve things like administration, finance, social media, event planning, volunteer coordination and more.
