Park information
Walnut Park is located next to Walnut Road Elementary School. The park has a balance of open green space and natural forest. A number of trails give walking routes through the park, and give access to some great picnic areas. Walnut Park is a hidden gem, and could be considered as one of the more picturesque settings for a picnic in the Surrey, particularly in the afternoon sun.
Park Improvements
The Walnut Park Plan was approved by Council and construction was recently completed. The park grand opening celebrations took place on May 26, 2018.
New improvements include:
- A new playground, seating, trees and natural area planting
- Additional walking paths
- Two bridges across the stream
