Royal Heights Park has an area of over 2.2 hectares (5.5 acres), which is split between a forested area in the west and an open field area in the east. In 2016, portions of the park were renovated, including the open field and picnic areas, playground and walking paths. The walking path continues into the forest as a looping gravel trail.
The park was established in the mid 1960s during the subdivision and development of the surrounding neighbourhood. Access to the park can be found from the western end of 97A Avenue at 115A Street. You will also find trails into the park from the north ends of Crown Crescent, Princess Drive and the south end of Royal Crescent.
