Tree sales open on February 28 and April 17

Surrey, B.C. – The City of Surrey is pleased to announce the dates for the first two online tree sales scheduled for 2024. The initial sale will commence on February 28 at 9:00 A.M. and conclude on March 13, with a tree pickup date of March 24. The second sale of the year will begin on April 17 at 9:00 A.M. and end on May 1, with a tree pickup day of May 12. 

“The City of Surrey tree sale is one of the best ways to beautify your yard and help the environment at the same time,” said Mayor Brenda Locke. “We are delighted to continue offering Surrey residents the opportunity to purchase affordable, high-quality trees for planting on their private property. The trees sell out quickly. Mark the date on your calendar, so you don’t miss out.”   

The City of Surrey hosts four online tree sales every year, with trees sold on a first-come, first-served basis. All trees are priced at $20 (includes taxes). Purchases are made online and are to be picked up later from the Surrey Operations Centre (6651 148 Street). Each sale offers up to 1000 trees for purchase, available while supplies last. Varieties may include maples, dogwoods, magnolias, and assorted fruit trees, all suitable for growth in Surrey.
