Surrey, BC — Surrey's performing arts festival for kids is back with an all-new lineup of circus, music, and theatre shows. Show tickets include drop-in bonus activities including hoop dancing with Notorious Cree, circus art with Circus Lab, and puppet play and artmaking. The Surrey SPARK Stages celebration is a curated weekend of exceptional theatre performances for babies, toddlers, and tweens.

April 2025—Surrey Civic Theatres celebrates performing arts for young audiences with its SPARK celebration weekend of performing arts for kids with an all-new line up of performances for babies to tweens.
Friday, May 23 performances are reserved for Surrey schools to attend as part of SPARK’s Make a Memory program. Working with the Surrey School District to identify schools in need, SPARK then partners with local businesses to subsidize classroom tickets to performances.
Performances and activities for the whole family kick off on Saturday, May 24. The Main Stage features A Simple Space by Gravity and Other Myths circus company from Australia and Braided Spirits, a high energy mix of DJ music, singing and Indigenous traditional dance featuring Notorious Cree.
In the Studio Theatre catch Ginalina Joins the Circus by Juno nominated singer-songwriter Ginalina and I Wish I Was a Mountain, by writer and performer Toby Thompson from the historical Theatre Royal Bath in the UK. Rounding out the lineup is Whipped Up! a hilarious one of a kind performance where babies are the customers and caregivers are along for the ride at Tiny’s Diner.
All weekend, there will be additional activities and pop-up performances for ticketholders to enjoy such as drop-in hoop dance lessons with Notorious Cree and circus arts exploration with Circus Lab.
