Museum of Surrey seeks feedback to help transform gallery space
The Museum of Surrey (MOS) is seeking public feedback to help inform the Surrey Stories Gallery Interpretive Master Plan, with the aim of improving and refreshing their permanent gallery space.
Surrey, B.C. – The Museum of Surrey (MOS) is seeking public feedback to help inform the Surrey Stories Gallery Interpretive Master Plan, with the aim of improving and refreshing their permanent gallery space. All community members are invited to take the online survey by March 3, 2024, to have input on how the stories of Surrey are represented and told.
“This exciting plan was created with input from community members. It aims to provide all communities in Surrey with the opportunity to tell their stories,” said Lynn Saffery, Museum Manager. “The new gallery will be flexible, interactive, and importantly, relevant to Surrey residents and visitors.”
The Surrey Stories Gallery, open since 2005, is a space dedicated to telling the stories of Surrey residents and celebrating the rich history of the region. In order to better serve the community and make the gallery more inclusive and accessible, the gallery needs thematic, design and technological upgrades.
By taking the survey, participants can learn about and provide input on the plan, which will provide a foundation for all Surrey Stories Gallery future exhibits and the stories that are important to the community. This exciting plan will act as a roadmap for developing a new visitor experience.
