Surrey, B.C. – The Museum of Surrey (MOS) is opening applications for the Community Treasures exhibition series, for 2025 and 2026. Community Treasures is a gallery space for community members, individuals, and cultural organizations from Surrey to showcase their treasures and share their stories with the public. Every story is important, and when you curate your interests or experiences you help connect people and communities.

These temporary, submission-based exhibits serve to increase access to Surrey’s diverse stories and experiences – straight from you, the community.

Final selection is chosen by the Museum’s Community Advisory Board. Members advise and review in September and exhibits are scheduled for the following year.

“The Museum’s Community Treasures Exhibition series is a great way for people and communities in Surrey to share something about themselves, whether it be their culture or their hobbies. Every person has a valuable story so we welcome your submissions to share them with visitors”, said Lynn Saffery, Museum Manager.

All Surrey residents are invited to read the Community Treasures guidebook and send their submissions by filling out the Community Treasures Application Form and contacting the Exhibits Team on the website.

Museum of Surrey is a dynamic and accessible community hub and cultural space that reflects the City of Surrey’s innovation and creativity. It is a people museum, with a mission to connect people and stories through engaging events, interactive award-winning exhibits, programs, textiles, and local, national, and international exhibitions.
