Surrey, BC – The City of Surrey is excited to offer a wide range of free events and programs this September as part of Culture Days, an annual nationwide celebration of arts and culture. Residents can enjoy engaging and interactive presentations and activities organized by Community Arts, Surrey Civic Theatres, Surrey Art Gallery, Historic Stewart Farm, Museum of Surrey, and Surrey Archives.

"I invite all of our residents to discover and explore Surrey’s diverse array of free arts, culture and heritage offerings for this year’s Culture Days,” said Mayor Brenda Locke. “From the Arts Day at Clayton Community Centre and the Harvest Fair at Historic Stewart Farm, to Indigenous programs at the Totest Aleng: Indigenous Learning House and the Culture Crawl in partnership with the City of White Rock, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”

Participating in Culture Days is part of City of Surrey’s commitment to offering high-quality programs and events that connect the community through shared arts and cultural experiences. These events foster creativity, inclusivity, and community spirit, aligning with City’s vision of being a vibrant, welcoming, and creative city.

About Culture Days

Culture Days is a national celebration of arts and culture. Each year at the end of September, millions of people attend thousands of arts and culture events across Canada. Culture Days programs invite the public to get hands-on and behind-the-scenes to highlight the importance of arts and culture in our communities. Culture Days serves as a year-round catalyst that connects individuals and creators to build measurable support for the entire sector and amplify its contributions. They seek to eliminate barriers to access and participation, and stimulate understanding, appreciation and exploration of arts and culture—so that every person in the country has a deeper connection with themselves, their communities, and Canada.

Culture Days is happening in Surrey from September 20 until October 13.
