Surrey, B.C. – City of Surrey is updating its Age-Friendly Strategy to remain comprehensive, inclusive, and responsive to emerging trends and challenges faced by our ageing population. Residents and caregivers are invited to share their input on various topics, including healthcare, housing, transportation, social connections, and recreational opportunities. The online survey is accessible at surrey.ca/seniors and will remain open until August 27.
“Though our current strategy serves as a solid foundation, we recognize the importance of staying attuned to emerging trends and the evolving needs of seniors,” said Sahra-Lea Tosdevine-Tataryn, Age Friendly Strategy for Seniors Project Manager. “Your valuable feedback will help us identify gaps and prioritize key areas of focus that can have a meaningful impact. Together, we can make Surrey an even more age-friendly city, creating a community where our seniors thrive, connect, and enjoy an exceptional quality of life.”
We encourage you to share this opportunity with friends, family and neighbours, as we strive to capture a diverse range of perspectives and experiences.
Surrey's age-friendly programs and services are committed to promoting health and wellness through active living. We offer affordable access to fitness, wellness, recreation, volunteer, and social opportunities, as well as valuable community connections that enrich and support healthy, independent living for our senior community.
