Surrey: A vital stop on the Pacific Flyway
Surrey sits along the Pacific Flyway, a major migratory route stretching from the Arctic all the way to South America. Every year, thousands of birds travel this ‘highway’, covering vast distances during their spring and fall migrations. Many stop in Surrey to rest and refuel, while others choose to spend the entire summer or winter here, making it a seasonal home.
This event is hosted in partnership by Friends of Semiahmoo Bay Society, Birds Canada and Surrey Parks.
