Come to the Museum of Surrey to learn how to sew a traditional leather Métis medicine pouch to carry medicinal herbs or other treasured items. Two Métis women lead this program.
Activities include:
- Learn traditional knowledge involved in crafting a healing medicine pouch.
- Explore the significance of hand-harvested medicines.
- Use buckskin material to cut your pouch to size and pony beads to enhance the richness of your pouch.
