REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

SCOPE OF SERVICES

The City of Surrey (the “City”) invites qualified and experienced Proponents to provide a Proposal for comprehensive geotechnical engineering services (including all costs associated with these services) prior to and/or during construction of the Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex – Third Ice Sheet Arena Building Addition project located within the Cloverdale Fairgrounds at 6336 – 177B Street, Surrey, British Columbia (the “Services”).

The original design of the facility included a new twin sheet arena building in the Cloverdale area. Due to additional demand for ice sports, this facility will now have an additional third sheet of ice to meet the community’s needs for ice hockey, figure skating, public lessons, skating sessions and dry-floor summer use for sports such as lacrosse and ball hockey. The new facility will include landscaping with outdoor amenities and a parking lot to serve the new arena.

The Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex will be a new facility providing three NHL sized arena sheet spaces for the use by ice and dry floor sports, lessons and recreation. The Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex is being implemented in two phases:
• Phase 1 construction of two ice sheet arena building (under construction); and
• Phase 2 construction of third ice sheet arena addition (new expansion).
