Don Christian – Site Work for Childcare Modular Building

The overall project is to install a freestanding prefabricated daycare building on the Don Christian Rec. Centre property. The project consists of two separate construction contracts covered under one building permit applied for by the Owner (City of Surrey). The two construction contracts separate the site improvement scope (RFQ 1220-040-2020-021, Don Christian Childcare Site Work) from the prefabricated building scope of work (RFQ 1220-040-2020-013, Don Christian Childcare Modular Building). Each contract requires mutual coordination between both Contractors during the duration of construction. The general contractor responsible for the site improvements scope of work is responsible for the overall project schedule in full coordination with the prefabricated building contractor's schedule within the established owner's guidelines set out in this RFQ documents.

DESCRIPTION OF SCOPE OF WORK

The Work covered under this project consists of the furnishing of all superintendence, overhead, labour, materials, tools, equipment, insurance, fuel, transportation and all things necessary for and incidental to the satisfactory performance and completion of Site Work for Childcare Modular Building, located at Don Christian Recreation Centre, 6220 184 Street, Surrey, British Columbia (the “Place of Work’) in strict accordance with the Specifications and accompanying Drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract.

Contractor to comply with all BC Plumbing Code, BC Fire Marshal, BC Workers’ Compensation Board, National Building Code of Canada, BC Boiler Inspector, BC Electrical Inspector, National Fire Protection Association, and any other authorities having local jurisdiction. Failure to abide by these rules and regulations will result in being immediately escorted from the work site.

ADDENDA
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City’s Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca (the “BC Bid Website”) and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (the “City Website”) that will form a part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractor to check the BC Bid Website and the City Website for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFP or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda. .
