INVITATION TO TENDERERS
The Owner invites tenders for:
Construction of district energy systems including:
• Supply and installation of pre-insulated steel pipe, leak detection systems and communication conduits,
• Restoration works for roadways, landscaping, and sites.
The contract involves work at three different sites, namely:
• Site #1 (E19518) – Lark CC4 Connection
97A Avenue & 137A Street (9686 137 St)
o 95 m of 200 mm trenched DES piping and appurtenances,
o 65 m of 150 mm trenched DES piping and appurtenances,
o 40 m of 100 mm trenched DES piping and appurtenances,
o Connection to existing DES piping in roadway and to Lark CC4 building,
o Pipe stub on 97A Avenue,
o Testing and commissioning, and
o Road and site restoration works.
• Site #4 (E19527) – West Fraser Connection
133 Street & Green Lane (13245 105 Ave)
o 45 m of 150 mm trenched DES piping and appurtenances,
o 105 m of 100 mm trenched DES piping and appurtenances,
o Connection to existing DES piping in roadway and to West Fraser building,
o Pipe stub on 133 Street,
o Testing and commissioning, and
o Road and site restoration works.
• Site #6 (E19516) – Bosa Brightside Phase 3 Connection
105 Avenue (Between City Parkway to 135A Street)
o 140 m of 200 mm trenched DES piping and appurtenances,
o 15 m of 150 mm trenched DES piping and appurtenances,
o Connection to existing DES piping in roadway and to Bosa building,
o Pipe stubs on 105 Avenue and 135A Street,
o Testing and commissioning, and
o Road and site restoration works.

This tender is being issued electronically through the BC Bid website (www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca) where any interested party may download the tender documents directly from the BC Bid website. The Contract is based on the MMCD Platinum Edition and the City’s Supplementary MMCD (April, 2020)

Tenders should be submitted in a sealed package, marked on the outside with “Tenders for 5523-001-21 – District Energy System Expansion” and must be received at the first floor Main Reception/Information Desk, Surrey City Hall, 13450-104 Avenue, Surrey, B.C. Canada V3T 1V8. Note the City has resumed opening tenders publicly at Surrey City Hall. Tenderers are welcome to join the tender openings.
