Benefits of researching onsite
Don a pair of archival gloves and delve into the past! Archives staff will streamline your research experience by consulting digitized in-house records and reference files dating back to the late 1800s. While you are here, you may also:
- View original records
- Browse our large reference library collection containing over 1,000 titles focused on local history
- Listen to recorded interviews with Surrey residents as they reminisce about life, work and play
- Leaf through council minutes and newspaper to track local developments
- Consult the Map Collection, some of which are too large or fragile to be digitized for viewing digitally at home
