Learn more about Holland Gardens, located in City Centre in Holland Park.
Located at 13428 Old Yale Road in Holland Park, Holland Gardens are open year-round to the public. Sit by the waterfall and enjoy the horticultural displays as you discover the urban beauty of the Holland gardens.
Although the park has had horticultural areas for a number of years, a major redevelopment took place in 2008 from which emerged the formal Holland Gardens, featuring tree-lined promenades, water features and many forms of public art.
At the centre of the Holland Gardens is the blooming river which flows out from the central plaza towards King George Boulevard. The blooming river features a spectacular placement of floral planters on pedestals within the water.
To celebrate the revitalized park, the “Miss Holland” Dahlia was hybridized by Gordon Stach of Surrey and has been incorporated into several of the plantings. There are a number of pieces of public art in the park - several of which have a horticultural theme including a dahlia mosaic, 2 towering metal floral sculptures and pond lilies.
West of the central plaza a woodland garden frames an enclosed lawn area and is the perfect backdrop for wedding photos. The woodland garden was developed with the support of Terasen Gas and its staff. Recognizing the value trees bring to the environment, our communities and library collections, the Surrey Public Library Grove was installed in 2008.
