Amenities include:
- 4 artificial turf fields
- 4 natural turf winter fields
- 2 cricket fields
- 3 natural turf summer fields
- 8x8 soccer & mini soccer fields
- 8 tennis courts
- Basketball courts
- Rubberized walking track

The City is currently investigating opportunities for an new indoor soccer warm-up facility. In the summer, the larger fields tend to get busy, so be sure to book a field if you have a formal team practice or game.
Newton Athletic Park also has three bathroom facilities with change rooms, including accessible, universal, female and male washrooms; playgrounds; a water park; and an on-site daycare. There are also about 2 kilometres of pathways for walking and jogging.
There is lots of parking accessible from 74 Avenue and 128 Street, as well as a direct connection to the Serpentine Greenway. The Greenway provides off-street bicycle and pedestrian connections with the neighbourhoods to the north, west and south.
Action BMX Park
Located at the northwest corner of the park, with access and parking from 75 Avenue, Action BMX is a BMX racing facility built to international racing standards. The facility is maintained and managed by Action BMX, a Canadian Cycling Association, which hosts racing, training, and recreational programs. Users, including Olympic athlete Tory Nyhaug, come from throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
Picnic Shelters
There are three picnic shelters in Newton Athletic Park:
- 1 located east of the washroom
- 2 located northwest of the north parking lot
Picnic shelters are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you’re having a picnic or hosting an event in a Surrey park please review how to host an event in a park. Steps to hosting an event at Newton Athletic Park will differ if you’re looking to host a public event.
Park Improvements
- Grass soccer field #7 has been converted to artificial turf
- Artificial turf fields #1 and #5 have been resurfaced
- A new rubberized walking track has been constructed around soccer fields 5, 6, and 7
- Planning is underway to convert grass field #3 to artificial turf
The new walking track is located in the south area of the park around the perimeter of the sports fields and connects with existing paths in the park. The walking track measures 600 metres long and 3.5 metres wide.
The project complements other enhancement work planned for 2022 which includes a new washroom/changeroom building.
