    Ice:  This time is for Figure Skaters who would like to practice their moves. All participants must work with each other and share music time and space etc. 

 

Learn to skate or play some hockey at the Newton Arena.

Newton Arena is located across from the Newton Recreation Centre and adjacent to the Community Centre. We offer skating lessons and hockey programs for all ages.

Power Hockey League (Ages 6 to 14) - Registration is Now Open!

Learn hockey in a fun and welcoming environment at Newton Arena this fall! Power hockey league games start on Saturday September 16, cost $245.50 and include 10 league games, 1 playoff game, jerseys, coaches, and medals.  Find a time below for children or youth! Please note: goalies are welcome to join at a reduced price.

  • Children ages 6 to 10 play from 12:45pm to 2:15pm
  • Youth ages 11 to 14 play from 3:45pm to 5:15pm

New Helmet Regulations

CSA certified hockey, ski or snowboard helmets are mandatory for anyone participating in Learn to Skate lessons. Bike helmets are not permitted as they do not offer the protection needed for ice skating. Browse the complete equipment list for hockey programs.
