Request for Quotations

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF GOODS

It is the intent of this specification to provide details for the purchase of two (2) [more or less] new and unused 2020 model all-wheel drive (AWD) mid-size SUV four door, liftback vehicles with police package (the "Goods"). The Goods will be used by the City of Surrey’s (the "City") Fire Department. The Goods must comply with all D.O.T. and British Columbia Motor Vehicle Act regulations. The Goods shall have the following drive systems:

a. Vehicle 1: One (1) hybrid electric model with V6 engine as detailed in Schedule A-1.

b. Vehicle 2: One (1) naturally aspirated conventional V6 gasoline engine as detailed in Schedule A-2.

The Goods shall have a standard road package that meets all legal requirements for operation on public roadways, including the BC Motor Vehicle Act, the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Act, Work Safe BC Regulations, and to be built in accordance with SAE standards.

2. PREFERRED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The City of Surrey’s (the "City") requirements are outlined in Schedule A-1 – Preferred Technical Specifications Electric Hybrid V6 Engine and Schedule A-2 – Preferred Technical Specifications Gasoline V6 Engine.

The Services include, but are not limited to the following:

• Supply and delivery of the Goods as identified in the specifications;

• Provision of local dealer warranty service and replacement parts at no cost to the City at a local dealer preferably in the Surrey area; and

• Provision of post-delivery services and parts availability at a local dealer, preferably in the Surrey area.

ADDENDA
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City’s Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca (the “BC Bid Website”) and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (the “City Website”) that will form a part of this RFQ.  It is the responsibility of Contractor to check the BC Bid Website and the City Website for addenda.  The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum.  No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor.  By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
