REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS

SPECIFICATIONS OF GOODS AND SCOPE OF SERVICES


The City of Surrey (the “City”) manages a citywide Street Banner Program. The Contractor will be regularly engaged with providing banner installation, removal and maintenance services for the City (the “Services”).

The City has five (5) kinds of street banners:

(a) Town Centre Identity Banners: Providing beautification and identity to each town centre;
(b) Surrey Gateway Banners: City of Surrey branding at key gateway locations;
(c) Public Art Banners: Artist designed street banners;
(d) City Promotion Banners: Highlighting special programs and events within the City; and
(e) Community Banners: Initiated by community groups, business improvement associations, non-profits etc.

The City reserves the right upon consultation with the Contractor, to establish or change the days of service, hours of service, plans, locations of banners, or other methods of Service delivery.

The City will make all decisions to any question which may arise as to the quality or acceptability of work performed, as to the manner of performance and rate of progress of the work and all questions which arise as to the interpretation of the specifications.

All Services performed by the Contractor and their personnel are to be done to the satisfaction of the City.

ADDENDA

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
