REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS

SPECIFICATIONS OF GOODS AND SCOPE OF SERVICES

For the provision of everything required including all skilled labour, tools, materials and equipment for stump grinding services (the “Services”) and any other requirements. Services to be performed by the Contractor should include but may not be limited to the grinding of stumps and follow-up soil and grass seed installation.

The Services will be carried out primarily for stumps located on residential boulevards and, to a
lesser extent, parks, throughout the City of Surrey (the “City”). The City will provide a list of stumps that require grinding. The grinding of these stumps, including soil and seed installation, is scheduled during seasonal periods when weather conditions are ideal for seed germination. There are two periods to complete this work, between March and June (~10 weeks of work for one crew) and between September and October (~8 weeks of work for one crew).

A second stump grinding unit may be necessary to complete higher volumes of work within the identified timelines. Additional stump grinding may also be required throughout the year.

ADDENDA

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.

All inquiries related to this RFQ should be directed in writing to purchasing@surrey.ca.
