Request for Quotations

The City invites Quotations from experienced and qualified Contractors for the provision of everything required including all skilled labour, tools, materials, equipment for herbicide application and any other requirements.

General Information
The work shall consist of herbicide application for the purpose of selective vegetation maintenance on City land.  The Contractor will generally be required to provide and complete the herbicide application between April 1 - October 1.

The Contractor shall supply all necesssary equipment (except injector guns) and herbicide.  This will include backpack sprayer, hand pump sprayers, the necessary PPE and clothing, herbicide product and mix, and spill kit.

All persons applying herbicide must have a valid BC Industrial Vegetation and Noxious Weeds pesticide applicator certificate.  The City prefers that the Contractor have at least one person assigned to this contract with a minimum of 3 years of pesticide certification and has applied herbicide on invasive plants a minimum of 500 hours.

Addenda
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City’s Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca (the “BC Bid Website”) and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (the “City Website”) that will form a part of this RFQ.  It is the responsibility of Contractor to check the BC Bid Website and the City Website for addenda.  The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum.  No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor.  By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
