Under the direction of Sam Dabrusin, Soundscape a Capella Chorus is a mixed-voice, auditioned amateur adult community chorus based in Surrey, with singers of various ages and experience from many areas of Metro Vancouver. We sing a capella in soprano, alto, tenor, bass (SATB) voicings. Our repertoire consists primarily of popular songs from different eras, with some great show tunes, jazz standards, and the occasional novelty song. The Chorus has been active for 28 years. We are a performance-oriented chorus, and stage two main concerts each year (spring and Christmas) and sing at a variety of other events throughout the year (recently, Stewart Farm Harvest Fest, Langley Sounds of Summer, Fraser Valley Heritage Rail).
The South Fraser Community Band (SFCB) has been providing music throughout the Lower Mainland since 1989. Our aim is to nurture musical performance talents and the enjoyment of music by everyone in our community by performing music with a broadly based appeal. We perform in parks, schools, and nursing homes. Our current membership consists of approximately 25 people. We represent a broad spectrum of backgrounds including nurses, school teachers, scientists, engineers, homemakers, students and senior citizens. Members have a wide range of musical ability, some boast an extensive musical background, many have picked up their instrument after several decades absence, and some have joined SFCB while learning a new instrument.
Crowned “Best In Vancouver 2021” by Live Acts Canada, SPENDO is turning heads with their big hooks, catchy melodies and relentless work ethic. Each member brings a unique, feel-good vibe that takes you back to a familiar and timeless era. After introducing a new lineup in March 2020, they found themselves in a state of involuntary hibernation (along with the rest of the world). Clearing a busy schedule of shows from their calendar, they instead devoted their time and energy into writing new material and recording with Canadian producer Danny Craig (Default, One Bad Son). This culminated in their seven-track EP The Great Unknown, which they released to positive reception in March 2023. This has given SPENDO the opportunity to sell out headline shows and play festival main stages, rubbing elbows with the likes of Finger Eleven, Big Wreck, Collective Soul, Prism, and 54-40, among others.
Fueled by the momentum of the last five years, SPENDO has only just begun their journey into the great unknown.

The musical group SweetPan is all about Canadians playing the steel drum, 'pan', the only acoustic musical invention of the 20th century, & clearly a major Caribbean contribution to world culture. We specialize in Caribbean rhythms on the many different sizes of drum & have played for dances, weddings, corporate events, community events & interactive concerts since 1994. We vary from solo up to twelve people on stage depending on the event needs. Our leader & arranger, Bernard Fernandes, draws on his vast repertoire & experience of the Caribbean to lend both an innovative & authentic touch! Steeldrum workshops are also available.
