Surrey Installs Healthcare Appreciation Street Banners Around Surrey Memorial and Peace Arch Hospital
The critical work of our healthcare workers has been heroic in our fight against COVID-19.
Surrey, BC – The critical work of our healthcare workers has been heroic in our fight against COVID-19. As an extension of our gratitude to Surrey’s healthcare workers, the City of Surrey installed healthcare appreciation street banners around Surrey Memorial Hospital and Peace Arch Hospital today.
“Every night, Surrey residents and staff across our city join the 7pm cheer, as a gesture of appreciation for the sacrifices healthcare workers are making to battle COVID-19 on the frontlines,” said Mayor Doug McCallum. “With the installation of these street banners surrounding Surrey Memorial and Peace Arch Hospitals, our hope is that our nurses, doctors, first responders and paramedics are reminded every day that our community recognizes their dedication and service. Our healthcare workers are among the best in the world, working tirelessly to keep our community healthy and safe, and these banners are a small way of saying thank-you.”
