Translation – Explanation and Caution

The electronic translation service on the City of Surrey’s web site is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation may vary in some of the languages offered by Google. The goal of the basic translation is to capture the general intention of the original English material.

Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages. Unfortunately, not all the languages spoken in the City of Surrey are translated. Punjabi is one of the languages not currently offered, and to remedy the situation, the City has been in contact with Google and they have committed to making Punjabi available in the future.

The City of Surrey cannot guarantee the quality, accuracy, or completeness of any translated information. Before you act on translated information, the City encourages you to confirm any facts that are important to you and the decisions you make.

The City of Surrey offers interpretation services at all its facilities. If you have a question about the material you read on our web site, we encourage you to stop by a City facilities to discuss it. You can also contact the City at (604) 591-4011 to receive interpretation support.

Description:

The Surrey 2010 Games Live Site is one of four officially sanctioned 2010 Games celebration sites.

Goals
The RFQ covers electrical distribution, site/show electrician services and electrical advance for the Surrey 2010 Celebration Live Site.

Load-in for this scope of work is tentatively scheduled to begin February 1, 2010; load-out for this scope is scheduled to conclude March 3, 2010.

Specifications
The type and quantity of distro equipment to be provided has not been specified, only the amount and location of power needed to distribute. There is a fairly significant level of freedom in how to layout your distro paths, provided that every single connection on the site would pass an inspection from the City's electrical inspector at any time.

The successful contractor will supply all stagehands, riggers, lift operators and associated local labour required for scope of work.

All services provided are to terminate in Cam-Lok connectors, turnarounds and T-taps are to be supplied as needed in case of ground-neutral reverse distros from other contractors, shared rigging distros, etc.

Addenda
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City will post a written addendum on the City Website and upon posting will be deemed to form part of this RFQ. Upon submitting a Quotation, Contractors will be deemed to have received notice of all addenda that are posted on the City Website.
