Translation – Explanation and Caution

The electronic translation service on the City of Surrey’s web site is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation may vary in some of the languages offered by Google. The goal of the basic translation is to capture the general intention of the original English material.

Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages. Unfortunately, not all the languages spoken in the City of Surrey are translated. Punjabi is one of the languages not currently offered, and to remedy the situation, the City has been in contact with Google and they have committed to making Punjabi available in the future.

The City of Surrey cannot guarantee the quality, accuracy, or completeness of any translated information. Before you act on translated information, the City encourages you to confirm any facts that are important to you and the decisions you make.

The City of Surrey offers interpretation services at all its facilities. If you have a question about the material you read on our web site, we encourage you to stop by a City facilities to discuss it. You can also contact the City at (604) 591-4011 to receive interpretation support.

The City is committed to enhancing the accessibility of its web site to all its citizens, and appreciates any feedback that it receives.

Description:

The Project
The New City Hall (NCH) is located at 13450 - 104th Street and is scheduled to open in September 2013.

The successful Proponent may be retained as Project Manager to represent the interests of the City and other stakeholders to ensure the Project's programming objectives are met.  All Services are to be provided in close consultation with the City.

The Project Manager for NCH Programming will report to the Coordinating Committee (HR, Finance, Facilities & IT) and is repsonsible for the planning, coordination, alignment and finalization of the programming components of the NCH project (including FF&E), within budget, deadlines, the broader strategy and City values.  The Project Manager will liaise with the Organizational Change Manager and will work with stakeholders (internal and external) to deliver projects according to plan.

It is anticipated that the Project Manager will primarily work from an office at the current City Hall.

The Project Manager is expected to demonstrate experience and ability to coordinate, plan and participate in the programming of key public and staff components of the NCH as it relates to the planning, opening and ongoing operation of the NCH.

Proponents should complete the Form of Proposal - Schedule C, including Schedules C1 to C-5.  Proponents are encouraged to use the forms provided and attach additional pages as necessary. 

Addenda
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFP, the City will post a written addendum on the City Website and upon posting will be deemed to form part of this RFP.  No amendment of any kind to the RFP is effective unless it is released in a formal written addendum.  Upon submitting a Proposal, Proponents will be deemed to have received notice of all addenda.
