Translation – Explanation and Caution

The electronic translation service on the City of Surrey’s web site is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation may vary in some of the languages offered by Google. The goal of the basic translation is to capture the general intention of the original English material.

Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages. Unfortunately, not all the languages spoken in the City of Surrey are translated. Punjabi is one of the languages not currently offered, and to remedy the situation, the City has been in contact with Google and they have committed to making Punjabi available in the future.

The City of Surrey cannot guarantee the quality, accuracy, or completeness of any translated information. Before you act on translated information, the City encourages you to confirm any facts that are important to you and the decisions you make.

The City of Surrey offers interpretation services at all its facilities. If you have a question about the material you read on our web site, we encourage you to stop by a City facilities to discuss it. You can also contact the City at (604) 591-4011 to receive interpretation support.

The City is committed to enhancing the accessibility of its web site to all its citizens, and appreciates any feedback that it receives.

2012 BC Summer Games Merchandise Licensee

2012 BC Summer Games Merchandise Licensee

Description:

The Surrey 2012 BC Summer Games Society is requesting proposals from qualifying companies within Greater Vancouver to become the official Merchandise Licensee for the 2012 BC Summer Games. The grant of rights we are seeking to license include sale of licensed merchandise bearing the Marks of the 2012 BC Summer Games Society through retail/ wholesale channels and sales of licensed merchandise during the Games period from July 19, 2012 through July 22, 2012.

The term of this contract is from date of acceptance to July 22, 2012, with a 60 day sell-off period. The Surrey 2012 BC Summer Games will run from July 19th to July 22nd, 2012.

The successful applicant will:

1. Design: Work with the Surrey 2012 BC Summer Games Director of Promotions and Licensed Merchandise Sales Chair to utilize the approved logo / slogan, (see attached Schedule A and B) for use on apparel and other licensed merchandise (if applicable).

2. Produce: Produce the licensed merchandise and possibly other licensed merchandise as agreed between the parties.

3. Distribute: Distribute the merchandise.

4. Market: Provide marketing expertise for sale of merchandise.

5. Commitment: Provide a commitment, financial and otherwise, to benefit the Surrey 2012 BC Summer Games Society.

Addenda
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFP, the City Representative will post a written addendum on the City Website and upon posting will be deemed to form part of this RFP.  No amendment of any kind to the RFP is effective unless it is posted in a formal written addendum on the City Website.  Upon submitting a Proposal, Proponents will be deemed to have received notice of all addenda that are posted on the City Website.
