Description:

Tenders are invited for upgrading the existing Douglas Sewage Pump Station including:
• Supply and installation of a new fiberglass (FRP) top section to the existing wet well;
• Temporary bypass pumping system;
• Removal of existing pumps, piping and electrical;
• Supply and installation of new pumps and piping;
• Supply and installation of a new odour control unit;
• Supply and installation of a new electrical kiosk complete with power and instrumentation;
• Relate electrical, mechanical and civil works;
• Site civil and landscaping works;
• Co-ordination with BC Hydro;
• Testing and commissioning of installed systems.

Tenders must be submitted in a sealed package, marked on the outside with “Tenders for Upgrading the Douglas Sewage Pump Station” and must be received at the office of the City Clerk, Surrey City Hall, 14245 56 Avenue, Surrey, B.C. Canada V3X 3A2, not later than 11:00 am (local time), on September 22, 2011, and will be opened in public immediately thereafter.

Copies of the Drawings, Tender Submission Documents and Contract Documents may be viewed at Vancouver Regional Construction Association, 3636 East 4th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C., V5M 1M3, and the Engineering Department Front Counter at Surrey City Hall.

Copies thereof may be purchased from Omni Engineering Inc. 101-1861 Welch Street, North Vancouver, B.C. V7P 1B7 (starting on September 2, 2011) on payment of the non refundable sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00), HST inclusive. Cheques should be made payable to Omni Engineering Inc.

All tenderers are invited to attend the site visit that will be held on September 15, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Douglas Pump Station at #173 171 Street, South of 4th Avenue.

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. The City of Surrey reserves the right to reject any or all tenders, and to waive informalities in any or all tenders. The Agreement on Internal Trade will apply to this tender.
