Translation – Explanation and Caution

The electronic translation service on the City of Surrey’s web site is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation may vary in some of the languages offered by Google. The goal of the basic translation is to capture the general intention of the original English material.

Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages. Unfortunately, not all the languages spoken in the City of Surrey are translated. Punjabi is one of the languages not currently offered, and to remedy the situation, the City has been in contact with Google and they have committed to making Punjabi available in the future.

The City of Surrey cannot guarantee the quality, accuracy, or completeness of any translated information. Before you act on translated information, the City encourages you to confirm any facts that are important to you and the decisions you make.

The City of Surrey offers interpretation services at all its facilities. If you have a question about the material you read on our web site, we encourage you to stop by a City facilities to discuss it. You can also contact the City at (604) 591-4011 to receive interpretation support.

Description:

Tenders are invited for upgrading the existing Kennedy Water Pump Station and Construction of Two Pressure Reducing Stations including:

Kennedy Pump Station
1.  Supply and installation of six new pumps and motors;
2.  Supply and installation of new electrical MCC/VFD's and related equipment;
3.  Provision of a new BC Hydro electrical service;
4.  All related civil, mechanical and electrical work;
5.  Testing and Commissioning in Stages;
6.  Pipe coatings and linings work.

Pressure Reducing Station at the Kennedy Pump Station
1.  Supply and installation of new below ground concrete pressure reducing valve and flow meter chambers;
2.  All related inlet & outlet piping, civil, mechanical and electrical work;
3.  Testing and Commissioning in Stages.

Pressure Reducing Station at 116th Ave and 147th Street
1.  Supply and installation of a new below ground concrete pressure reducing valve chamber;
2.  Provision of a new BC Hydro electrical service;
3.  All related inlet & outlet piping, civil, mechanical and electrical work;
4.  Testing and Commissioning.

Tenders must be submitted in a sealed package, marked on the outside with "Tenders for Kennedy Water Pump Station Upgrading and Construction of Two Pressure Reducing Stations", must be received at the office of the City Clerk, Surrey City Hall, 14245 - 56 Avenue, Surrey, BC, Canada V3X 3A2, not later than 11:00 am (local time), on March 23, 2012 and will be opened in public immediately thereafter.

Copies of the Drawings, Tender Submission Documents and Contract Documents may be viewed at Vancouver Regional Construction Association, 3636 East 4th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5M 1M3, and the Engineering Department Front Counter at Surrey City Hall.

Copies thereof may be purchased from Omni Engineering Inc., 101 - 1861 Welch Street, North Vancouver, BC V7P 1B7 (starting on February 22, 2012) on payment of the non refundable sum of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00), HST inclusive.  Cheques should be made payable to Omni Engineering Inc.

The Agreement on Internal Trade will apply to this tender.

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.  The City of Surrey reserves the right to reject any or all tenders and to waive informalities in any or all tenders.
