The City of Surrey (the “Owner”) invites Tenders for South Surrey Arena Eagles Changeroom Expansion.
The Work comprises the furnishing of all labour, materials and equipment necessary to complete all the work shown in the drawings and specifications for a 197.6 m2 (2,127 ft2) mostly below grade poured-in-place concrete addition to the Eagles Hockey Club changeroom facility complete with related renovations and site work.
The work includes:
.1 Architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and landscape work.
.2 Coordinate Work of all trades with efficiency and continuous supervision.
.3 Provide and maintain site security and safety, storage of materials and construction offices.
.4 Cooperate fully with all other contractors and subcontractors working on the project.
.5 Lay out and construct all Work and building services.
.6 Protect and restore/reinstate existing installations affected by the renovations, including providing the required shoring & protection fencing/hoarding to minimize disruption to adjacent areas of the site, memorial garden & building and to ensure the protection and safety of the public.
.7 Coordinate work by Others (N.I.C.) and make provisions for the same:
.1 Provide solid blocking for all wall-mounted items, including but not limited to millwork, whiteboards, tackboards, fixtures, equipment and washroom accessories as indicated.
.2 Ensure all walls and structure/services exposed to view are suitably prepared and ready for final painting by Others.
Tenders, completed in accordance with the Instructions To Tenderers on the forms provided must be submitted in a sealed package, clearly marked on the outside with the Tenderers name, title of the project and reference number, and must be received at the office of:

Submissions by fax (or email) will not be accepted.
Tender submission requires the accompaniment of a Bid Bond (or Certified Cheque) in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Total Tender Price, issued in favour of the City of Surrey, and a Confirmation of Surety to provide a Performance and Labour & Material Payment Bond if the Tender is successful, each in the amount of fifty percent (50%) if the Total Tender Price.
The Owner intends to open the Tenders in private, but reserves the right to open Tenders in public at its sole discretion.

Information Meeting & Site Tour:
A Non-mandatory information meeting and site tour will be hosted by the city representative to discuss the Owner’s requirements under this ITT (the “Information Meeting”). Although we encourage Tenderers to attend this non-mandatory Information Meeting; Tenderers who do not attend will be deemed to have attended the Information Meeting and to have received all of the information given at the Information Meeting. A tour of the site will be held as follows:
