Developing the Cultural Plan

Surrey’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department is developing a new Cultural Plan – a practical guide for the future development of arts and heritage in Surrey.

The City is seeking to engage the community in enhancing awareness and understanding of the role of arts and heritage in Surrey’s ongoing evolution as a major urban centre.

To kick off the Cultural Plan development process, the City organized a “World Café” - a round-table workshop involving key individuals who will be tasked with generating ideas for maintaining and promoting Surrey’s vibrant cultural sector.

The findings of the World Café will be posted here and used to prepare information and questions for the Town Centre Open House series.

Following this consultation process, the City will work to draft a Cultural Plan outlining a strategy for Surrey’s continued cultural development, reflecting an innovative city characterized by rapid growth, diversity and youth.

Additional information regarding plan development will be posted here as it becomes available.
