Description: In 1930, the Green Timbers Inaugural Plantation was established as the first reforestation project in British Columbia. A tree nursery and a forest training school were established at the site at the same time, as unemployment relief projects during the depression. The Green Timbers Nursery is the oldest Forest Service nursery. Two early instructional buildings remain from the forest training school.
