Surrey Nature Centre at Green Timbers
Join us to discover nature in the city!
We've got lots of opportunities for you to get outside to play and explore.
Winter is a great time to experience the Surrey Nature Centre on your own or with a group. Bundle up and head outdoors!
Teachers, complement your classroom teaching by bringing your class on our school programs or preschool field trips, and build your skills and confidence teaching outdoors by attending a Pro-D day workshop.
Give your child an opportunity to make new friends and have fun outside with our day camps, birthday parties, Nature Preschool, and other early years programs. Daycares and other groups can book a private Explore Program for a memorable nature experience together.
Families can explore our interactive indoor space, or borrow a backpack full of activities to kick-start your adventures outside. Climb our giant tree stump, build a fort in the Pole Forest, and search for signs of life along forest trails. Or get your hands dirty caring for the forest at a Nature Work Party.
Check out our winter programs and events (January to March, 2017).
Join us on Saturday mornings for our free weekly drop-in Nature Play program! Our leader will engage children ages 3 to 5 in outdoor play with nature arts and exploration, storytelling, games, and child-led free play. Parent participation required. Saturdays, 9:30 to 11:00am.
