The Parks Division, in coordination with Queen Elizabeth Secondary School students, community members, and Can You Dig It, are developing a small community garden within the park. Bring your friends and family and join us as we build, paint, and plant this garden together! Supplies and light refreshments will be provided but please dress for the weather, pack your water bottle and bring your garden gloves or any other tools that you are comfortable using. It's going to be a great day!

About Can You Dig It

Can You Dig It supports communities to create inclusive and welcoming food-growing gardens where individuals from all backgrounds and life experience can learn, share, grow and contribute to the betterment of their communities. They grow more than food; they cultivate relationships and foster a true sense of belonging. Together we can all plant a seed!

With support from the City of Surrey, Can You Dig It will be helping all interested neighbours and community groups to run the garden. If you live in the neighbourhood and are interested in getting involved or having a plot in the garden, sign up on May 27th or contact Michael at 604-838-6812 or email info@cydi.ca. Please note the number of plots may be limited. Some communal gardening opportunties may be available for those on the waitlist.
